Hi all, My `64 Bel Air is spitting black water out exhaust, it runs good, plugs look good but rich. Could it be an intake mani gasket leaking water into the cylinder & is black due to the carb richness?

It was very unusual for the intake gaskets to leak water. A cracked head was more common.....but some water coming out of the tail pipe is normal during warm-up. It is like condensation.

Water can condense in the exhaust system as it cools down. If the water out the tail pipe quits when the exhaust system is hot then there is not a big problem. Black is carbon (unburned or partially burned gas). It is common as too much aromatic hydrocarbon is blended in gasoline to get the octane rating up. Aromatics don't burn fast

I agree that you are probably seeing water condensation from combustion.
Keep an eye on the coolant level in the radiator. If it stays where it should you obviously are not leaking that into a combustion chamber.
Another tip is to let the car warm up with the pressure cap removed. If you see bubbles in the coolant there probably is a head gasket leak.
If the engine is running too rich a fuel mixture you should consider fixing that. It could be as simple as the float level being too high. Or there is a vacuum leak.
