has anyone actually ever figured out how many of these were built?
read 40 yrs ago that it was 350- I have seen more then that in my lifetime!

I know Junkyard Dog was working on this project, but have not seen or heard anything about it in a few years ?!? was hoping to get some numbers and info.

Yes Skip was/is working on compiling a record of this model. I think the speculation is that there was one made for each dealership as a promotion to sell more cars. Approximately 8,600. Mine was made in Oakland March of 1929. This model was only made in Crockett Brown in the United States, and some form of blue/green in Canada. I have a picture of an advertisement for the Australian Holden model and have seen the poster depicting the Pontiac model. Makes me wonder if they were not made on some of the other marques like the small Buick, and or Oldsmobile. On the internet some time back there was a LaSalle offered for sale but I could not tell if it was a modified Chevrolet or a real LaSalle Conv. Landau. Definitely an interesting model.
