Is it true that the park lights on a '41 Chevy Coupe are designated "right" and "left"?
I don't see the difference.
Thanks,

Dan.

Yes, the parts book lists a left and right.I can not remember what the difference was but I believe that there was a L and R stamped into the back of the housing...indicating the the housings were different...perhaps a drain hole or location of the socket.

I also don't remember the difference. But, as I recall, on my 42 there was a difference. Maybe it had to due with the "curve" of the grille. Altho it seems it was "even" from side-to-side in the parking light area.

I do recall Chad Whats-his-name from down by Medford, OR noticing the parking lights didn't look right at the Portland Swap Meet a few years back. On top of that, he located a correct NOS glass lense to replace the phoney-balogna plastic lense that was there from when I purchased the car back in 1995.

Also, the brake lights are (also) noted "L" and "R."

Not much help, I suppose. I believe there is a difference. It's just that I don't recall what it is at the moment.

Bill.

B-T-W, Bruce - what's with the testing???

I guess you must be trying to figure out what's wrong and/or working on it.

I saw Bill was 'logged on' or whatever it's called an hour or so ago. Sent him a high priority email asking if he was aware of something being fkdup. I haven't heard anything back from him.

I guess you're on it also.

Hmmmmm, I wonder what's "wrong" ?????????

Bill.

Bill,
I had the same problem as Bruce, check the "32 top trim". Something about the Ubb Code, and Oil light on, and said no one signed on.
