This may not be the proper place to post this, but I’d like to know who does the best job rebuilding level action shocks for the 1940 Master Deluxe?

I’ve been unable to work in my car for the last three years and have lost touch with this site and those I used to converse with. But I’m back in it now and I’m at the stage of needing the shocks in place so I can roll the chassis around to fit brake and fuel lines.

Any advice is welcomed. Unless it’s sarcastic. I don’t need sarcastic, I have an ex-wife for that. ????

Apple Hydraulics in New York is the most often referenced source for shock rebuilding. They actually do the work at their facility.

Many of the Chevy parts supply houses list rebuilt shocks on an exchange basis. They actually outsource the work, often to Apple.

Plan on about $200 per shock using your shocks as a core.
