It's not an antique, but i took 13 laps (15 minutes) on the 1 1/2 mile oval at Homestead Miami Speedway on June 6th in my 2012 Corvette Grand Sport. Top speed 123 mph down the front straight away limited by the driver not the car. Most fun I've ever had for $20. Proceeds go to the NASCAR charity foundation. We've already scheduled another session of 30 minutes in December.

That sounds like a good day out and especially at the price of course you need to add getting there and a few other extras but still wouldnt need the bank vault to pay for it all. Tony
Yeah, well it's an hour drive from my house. We took 13 cars from my AACA club and ran as a group. The only rule is you can't pass the pace car which was doing 80 to 100 mph. But you can lay back and go full throttle to catch him which is what we did. I was doing 120+ in the straight aways and 90+ in the turns. Next time I'll hold it longer into the turns and get back into it sooner coming out of the turns. The car should be capable of 135-140 if the driver is. I accomplished both my objectives - have fun and come back with all the fenders on the car. Afterward we all went to lunch together at world famous Alabama Jack's in Key Largo. Just overall the best day I've had in years and cheaper than Disney World.
