My lights and horns inexplicably stopped working. I have replaced the battery, still no success. Any suggestions? Thank you. Carlyle

Check the fuse on the side of the light switch.

sounds like you lost ground to your headlight bars. Your horns are mounted on the bars with the headlights correct? If so, run a ground wire from the headlight bar to a good chassis ground and see if they work.

Hello Carlyle,
According to "Chevy Six" by Victor Page,1932 circuit diagram on page 466 fig.148, it shows that the horn gets it's ground thru the mast jacket to the chassis and it's power thru the fused light switch. The horn button provides the connection to ground when pushed. So that should mean that from the fused light switch the 'hot' horn wire goes out to the horn and then back to the steering columns mast jacket bushing, awaiting the horn button connection to ground. If the horn were to be internally grounded to it's own housing it would either not sound or it would be a runaway horn with no control.

I forgot about the ground coming from the horn button so it's not a headlight bar ground causing the problem. Power is always on to the horns so a test light would confirm that. Had a brain cramp, getting old now so I can use that as an excuse!
