Hello everyone, I just took over a 40 year old project. 1934 Chevy Pickup truck my father gave to me. He had the motor rebuilt and that's about it. I'm excited to get this started and looking forward to the knowledge of the forum. 1st thing I need is a Chilton manual for this truck. Any help would be appreciated. Thank yall in advance.

Welcome to VCCA Chat. That sounds like a great project.
I recommend that you search for the Chevy service manual for your truck. Reprints should be available. It will really help if you can find a parts book. I suggest you look for a Master Parts List that goes through the year 1936. That should have everything you need with respect to parts.
You should also consider joining VCCA to gain access to more information as well as a lot of great people who can help you get that truck back on the road.
This fall there will be a VCCA tour in your area. They will headquarter in Morgan City. Houma is one of the locations they will visit on one day of the tour.

Welcome and congratulations on your project truck. The “Old Chevy Manuals online” site will have the parts manual and some others, free to read online.
My 1951 1 Ton is now on the road! My 38 Master 4 Door is also now on the road .

If you go to the AACA forum site then go to the restoration threads you can find a thread I posted when I restored a 34’ pickup. I actually just finished it. It might help you with things.
