Hi, I have a 1954 Bel air 2 door sedan.

I am going to replace the hinge pins and bushings in the driver's door but can not find any information on the process.
I do not have access to my service manual at this time.

Do I need to remove the fender to get to the hinges and pins? Or just the inner wheel well and tire?
I am thinking I do not need to remove the hinge where it connects to the door, but where it is attached in the front left fender.

Anyway, I can not find a single thing on the process online.

Thanks!

Keith Hardy has made the manual available online. The 1954 supplement says that 1954 door repairs are the same as 1953. Here is a link to the 1953 front door and hinge instructions: http://chevy.oldcarmanualproject.com/shop/1949_53/01body/1_10.HTM
Hope it works out for you!

Thanks

In the description it says "Remove door and attached hinges from body." I know that is after removing "the attaching screws and bolts from face of hinge box and interior of hinge box."

Can you get to the interior of the hinge box to remove the hinge bolts without taking off the fender?
I can't see how it would be possible to get your hand in there to knock out the hinge bolt.
Do you think I can get to it by removing just the wheel well cover?
