Does anyone know of a shop in the Raleigh, North Carolina area that can repair a three-inch crack in the engine block of a 1941 Chevrolet?

Bill,

I think most any good engine shop may be able to repair the block but I don't know for sure.

If all else fails, I have one I can spare and even a new one still in the crate (bare except for the mains) and enough spare stuff to perhaps replace all the ingrediants. Pistons etc.

All the other ones I have are complete but one or two will need some work to put them in prime condition.

Let me know if you are interested in obtaining a different block to replace your cracked one. The crate one I think has a cast number of 1950 but I'd have to check to make sure. I have two or three used one that are out of 41s. None are cracked.

I live in Fayetteville, NC.

Best,
