I am rewiring some lighting on my '27 and noticed two bare wire terminals that must be for an absent stop light switch. I plan to purchase a switch, but I'm not sure where or how it would mount.
Not sure if it makes a difference, but the engine is a 28, not sure about the trans. The body & frame is 27 sedan (truck conversion).

Any help appreciated.
Dave

Hi DiamondT,

I had the same problem when I restored my truck, I tried a couple different switches and ended up using one like this:

This switch is normally open (off) and closes when the spring is pulled. I mounted the actual switch on the bottom of the floorboard in line with the brake rod and used a wire rope clamp to attach the spring hook to the brake rod. This allowed me to adjust the spring tension to get the correct sensitivity.

Looks like I could mount that switch in several places. Thank you TJ.
