At one time the owner tried to have one Chevy of every year. Don't know if he ever accomplished that.

The pictures of the items up for auction are well done. The only thing I question is in the description. To me it seems the NOS term was loosely used. Question: Is this auction strictly on line or will there be an in person auction and these online bids subject to being outbid at the in person auction in May? (That sentence was not well written but I hope you can decipher what I mean.) Thanks for posting. Best, Charlie

Back in the 90's I bought a Blue 35 Master 5 Window Coupe there for 6500.00. A very nice car. The car was at the Anniversary Meet in Colorado Springs in 76. I can across a picture I had taken of it. I did not have the money with me when I "bought" the car and when I came back to get it a few months later it had been sold to someone in Wisconsin a week before. Needless to say I was very disappointed. Always wondered what happened to that car. There was a 36 there but I wanted the 35.

I tried to participate in that auction, but the thing is that I couldn't join because of some bank papers that I don't have with me. I was furious. My grandfather gave to the museum one of his cars that was very special for me. So, I wanted to repurchase it. Nowadays, these old cars are not appreciated by people. I think that it's more profitable to scrap them. I've found on https://www.scrapi.com/scrap-car-calculator some scrap offers that are more attractive than selling to a museum. Moreover, the guys from there are collecting it after they transfer the money.

You should be able to get the bank/credit papers you need electronically from your financial institution. That is the way I do it when I am registering to bid at an auction.

Steel is .23 cents per pound, about $250-$600 a car. It probably is not the profitable choice for a museum.
