I have ordered in october 2020 from Classic Wood Products a wood kit for my 32 4 door. A few days ago this kit was delivered to me. I was in contact with Ricky and the communication was friendly and quick and efficient. I can only say the best about their customer service. Unfortunately Classic Wood does not supply any fitting instructions or drawing or anything which would be helpful for putting this kit together. So here I am with lots of pieces of a puzzle not knowing how to start and what to observe. I do have experience in the restoration of veteran cars and I am a kind of universal craftsman, but this is quite a new and different challenge for me. I need the following: 1. I grafic or drawing of this kit in a similar way as Jim Rodman publishes it on his website. But he does not show anything for a 32 4 door. 2. Somebody who has gone through this process of fitting an entire wood kit to a 32 4 door and who would be willing to share with me his experiences and knowledge. This person must be equipped with lots of patience and endurance. My situation is that the time which I can spare fort he Chevy is not so abundant. I have a small business, a small farm, a familiy and so on. But nevertheless having received the wood kit now, this gives me a push and I want to restart this project again after having paused for a couple of years. So any help in this would be highly appreciated. Karl .
The only reference I know of is the Fisher Body Service Manual for 1926-1931 with a 32 supplement. As noted in the Filling Station catalog part number is 100536C and they are not make specific as they cover Buick-Cadillac-Chevrolet-Oldsmobile-and Pontiac. www.fillingstation.com
Page 208 of the August, 1932 "Master Parts Price List" has an illustration of the wood parts in a 1932 Sedan (Jobs No. 32559, 32569). Reprints of that parts book are available from numerous sources. The old car manual project has an electronic copy of the book at the following link [http://chevy.oldcarmanualproject.com/parts/1929_32/index.html] and I have attached a copy of the page on this reply.
