The moldings inside the windshields (Including the rear "window" and windows are so faded I can't tell if all of them were wood-grained or not.

I know the front windshield moldings were wood-grained but do not know if the rear windshield and the side windows were wood grained or not.

Can someone help me out here on these inside molding?

a. Driver and passenger inside?

b. Quarter window?

c. Rear windshield?

Thanks,

Charlie computer

BTW: Never did get a definitive answer as to the correct color for the back-up light. Please help.

Today the back-up light color is green! After all it is St. Patrick’s Day.

Just messing with you Charlie! Take care.

I have a 41 Master Deluxe 4 dr and all of the window moldings have the wood grain, they are badly faded. The drivers on is worn to metal and has surface rust where the driver would put their arm. The dash is not wood grain. I suspect I may have been the first to remove them but have no proof they where not all swapped out at some point.

I have found that having an old car is a constant project that is never done. I think that is a good thing. Keeps me learning new things. Having two from different eras is just a form of higher education.

Charlie: I assume this is NOT for the convertible since you mentioned "rear window" ?? Might be a difference between enclosed car vs convertible.?

all of the 41 cars had wood grain garnish mouldings, rear window quarter windows, door windows, windshield and divider bar. there are different wood grains for the md, sd, and the fleetline as well as the easter models. the convertibles also had wood grain except for the rear window. hope this helps

Um.....what did the moulding wood grain on an easter model look like? Same as a valentine model? I'm just messing with you!! If you meant eastern model, where is the dividing line between eastern, central and western models?

the easter models were brought out in the spring season along with the fleetline model, the easter model came in two colors blue and green with matching interior colors, with there own trim code numbers. the wood graining was similar to the fleetline models a dark burl color and like the fleetline the dash was completely wood grained along with all granish mouldings, there was some differences in the wood grain between the models on.these easter models. they did not sell well due to the fleetline model being offered at the same time, and so late in the model year, making the easter models the rarest of all 41 chev models produced. thats why a lot of collectors have never seen or are aware of these models. hope this helps to answer your question diz
