Heeeelp! I do not know where to start. Here are some basic questions I have.

1) I don't want a "Lowered" truck by I do want to sit a bit lower while leaving room for slightly larger tires later. How many inches should I lower it?

2) Summit, LMC, Classic Ind., Brothers ect., Do they all carry the same quality parts?

3) Which power steering set up/brand should I use?

Any imput would be greatly appreciated!

Thanks!
Rick

Hi Rick,

Your subject title indicates you are doing a full restoration on your 1965 truck, then you ask questions about modifications. Perhaps you are not aware that our Chat Site is dedicated to the return of the vehicle to the standards from the factory. However, we do have a Thread that addresses modifications you ask about.

I suggest you go to that Thread, located further down the line, and present your questions.

I also recommend you join the VCCA. You will be able to receive the G&D, the club magazine, access the person who is the Technical Advisor to your vehicle and much more.

Finally, thanks for coming to the Chevy Chat, we are happy to have you join us and we welcome your questions and any input you may have.
