Can anyone help with current value of a complete 327 motor that came out of a 1962 Impala with factory ac? The motor has not run in many years but still turns freely. The motor was in my Father's garage and I am looking to sell it for my Mom.

Thanks

It is difficult to guess the market price for a non-running engine that has been sitting a long time. I would be surprised if you could get $500 for it.

Do some research on pricing for a re-manufactured 327. Then figure that what you have is essentially the core for that rebuild.

The best thing to do is simply list it on Facebook marketplace or Craigslist and see what happens.

Agree with Rusty, above. If it has all of the accessory brackets, orig. carb, dist., air cleaner, etc. that would add value. 1962 327" valve covers are one year
only. It it has a 2 barrel it is probably a 250hp, nothing special. If a 4 barrel, could be 275 to 300 hp, more desireable. If you know the mileage of the car
it came out of, that would be helpful in selling it if lower mileage. Also, check Craigslist in your area under Auto Parts and you might see a range of pricing
to guide you. bobalouie

The 1962 327 passenger car engine had a 4 barrel and 250 Horses... it was a high performance model then had an auminum 4 barrel and larger exhaust.
