I'm trying to find a front brake drum for my 1934 Master Sedan. I finally got around to redoing the front brakes. The shoes were well worn and I had them relined. One side works great. The other side was probably in an accident. The hub is not true to the drum. I shaved off about 40 % of lining and it still will not fit properly. Does anyone have a drum and hub, maybe some one that converted to hydraulics. Any help would be much appreciated.

Were the shoes worn evenly on the old lining? Also check the wheel bearing adjustment and then the hub to see if it is running true. Were the drums turned? If the shoes were worn equally on both sides when removed then it sounds like an assembly or adjustment problem.

Hard to tell on the linings as they were pretty worn and I really wasn't paying that much attention. . I tried to have that drum turned but the mechanic said it was not straight. I could get the drum on, but when I put in the bearings it was not straight. The mechanic drove out, cleaned and re installed the races.

In that case I agree you will need a drum so hopefully someone will have one.
