What can the experts tell me about these "clips". They came off the bracket that holds the bell housing to the frame on my '31.

Why were they used? What years were they used on? Are they reproduced?

Looks like they are to lock the bolts from turning.
My '34 truck has those mounts, but the clips are long gone.
It came to me with a '29 engine.

Those bolt locks or retainers were originally installed to keep the rear engine mount bolts from loosening. They have not been reproduced to the best of my knowledge. Many have been removed and thrown away in too many cases.
