I have the 8 tube Radio #985536 for my 1940 Chevrolet. I had it restored but didn't realize that the antenna connection is not the modern type connector so I didn't know to have it modernized. Does anyone have and adaptor or can show me how to make one? Thanks for your input.

Just what are you referring too? As I remember I think the connector is inserted after the case is installed. If that is missing you have a problem.

I have sold out of the adaptors. I suggest you return the radio to the person that restored it and have him replace the antenna connection on the radio and that will solve your problem.

Every radio I restore I change the antennna socket if it is the old 'push and turn' type. Sometimes the customer is lucky enough to have a roof or underrunningboard antenna still on the car. In that case, I don't change the socket.
