So sorry to hear. Verne knew about 1959-1964 cars than any body on earth.

Gene could not have said it better. I have discussed details about these cars with Verne for several years now. He will be greatly missed.

I had known Verne since the early 80's. I met him when the Late Great Chevy's was just starting up. Besides all of his knowledge, he was just a nice person, who was a real pleasure to speak with, on a variety of topics. Over the past 40 years I was fortunate to have attended several of the seminars he had presented, and fortunate to have known him.
I traveled down to his house to look first hand at the Dan Gurney 61 when it was in his possession. Verne was more then happy to show the car and go over the history. Here are a few photo's I took that day. My last conversation with him just prior to the Holidays, he was looking for some photos for the book he was working on. Unfortunately, that project will end with his passing. My thoughts and prayers to his wife Janet
