Can anyone help me out with some pictures of their shift linkage on a 54 3100 truck?
Mine is a stock 3 on the tree, I am mainly looking for the rod routing from the column to the bell crank to the transmission.
I picked up my trans from the shop, and am thinking they may have put something back together incorrectly.
None of my linkage is lining up correctly according to the assembly manual.

Thanks

Hopefully someone with a comparable truck will respond. It would not surprise me if the shop has the arms reversed front to rear or flipped 180 on the shaft of the shifting fork.

One trick I use is to search the internet for similar vehicles for sale. Often I will see a picture that shows details to answer my question. One of the best sites for great detail pictures is Bring A Trailer. I just used their filters to look in their auction results for Chevy trucks ”˜48 to ”˜54. Lots of hits.

If this drawing doesn't help, at least it lands you in the service manual and maybe there is a better drawing in later pages.
