Thanks. It is in pretty good condition but appears to be missing a spring, and maybe other pieces, underneath the horn button. Here is a picture of the underside of the horn button. Does anybody know what parts I am missing (probably the spring at least) and maybe where one would acquire such parts?. Thanks a bunch. https://www.pinterest.ca/pin/357051076715644138/

Howdy, I bought one and thought the same thing but in reality the only thing you need is a special rubber piece that goes around the horn ring and isolates it from grounding. there should be a metal piece that screws into the horn ring and is adjustable so that when you push the horn ring it makes contact with the point on the steering column. once you have that adjusted correctly there is a screw that clamps the piece into place. Hope this helps. I ordered a new rubber piece from chevys of the forties.

You may find the "guts (bearing, spring, gasket, etc) at any of our major vendors such as Filling Station (FS) or Chevs of the 40s (CofTFs). I recently bought a kit for my 1941 steering wheel from CofTFs, Both (and others) have on-line catalogs. Best, Charlie
