Is there a rebuild kit available anywhere to replace the cup on the clutch fork? The ball with shoulder bolt is available, but I could not locate a cup/retainer.
Also realized that the transmission has to come back out to repair the fork!?

I have the pivot ball and probably a nors clutch fork also. Did you get your package yet?

Yes, thank you
The speedometer wasn't a match and only needed 2 bumper bolts.
Just mailed it out today.

It looks like the socket on the fork is replaceable, but couldn't find anything on past posts.
I will need a new pivot ball and bolt, my threads are a mess.
May need a nos fork if a cup and clip are unavailable.

Thanks,
Steve

I have never heard of anyone finding the socket as a separate item. I have thought about maybe building that worn socket up with weld. Then grind it to size and the socket shape with a ball shaped stone.

There is a cup and a retainer spring on this one; not sure if it is stock, but it looks easily replaceable

Do I need one of these to clip into the cup?

The Master Parts List indicates that the socket is an integral part of the clutch arm. It does not indicate that Chevy ever provided a socket as a service part.

The aftermarket might have provided such a part but I have never seen or heard of one.

The spring keeps the arm on the ball.

That socket appears to be welded in so I would not consider it as an obtainable replacement part on its own, with the arm attached may well be hard enough to find.
