I have a 1937 Chevy Master Deluxe 2 door Sedan I been working on . I was checking out the Rear Springs have 4 leafs and I can see it has coil springs also and it looks like the coil springs are about 4 coils high . does anyone know if this is stock on a 37 Chevy or did someone change it out ? I do know I have to replace the shocks I have this car now for a year and I am still learning more things on this car

The 1937 master Deluxe 2 door had 8 spring leaves and no coil springs.

The shock absorbers on a ”˜37 were lever arm shocks. My best guess is that someone has converted to tubular shocks if you are planning to replace them.
Does your car have an open or enclosed driveshaft? If it is an open driveshaft then someone has replaced the rear axle in that car.
