When I saw Gene Schneider's name on a topic my heart skipped a beat. That is usually not a good sign. Gene is the back bone of the Chat and VCCA. He has helped me and so many others over the years. I am a 50 year plus member. Gene was a big help when I restored my '41 Coupe. Hope to see you back on Chat soon. Take care JIM

Hi Jeff,
Many thanks for the update on Gene, especially with it being good news.
I realize that you might not remember me. We had the opportunity to meet at the Middle West Meet in Des Moines in June, 2017. You and Gene had driven his ”˜57 wagon to the meet.
Gene is very fortunate to have you as a friend. Thank you for all you do to support him.

Thank You all for your kind words. Returnd home from the hospital on Wensdsay Day after five weeks of confinement. It all began with a broken pelvis which is not as bad as it sounds. Develoled a few other problems and lost a lot of strength in the process. Still not up to par but doing OK. Just typing is a chore.

Gene, I sure am glad to hear that you are on the mend. I join with all the others who have posted above who have expressed joy on learning of your latest status. As you can tell by the amount of well-wishers posting on here, that a few of us have missed you and your vast reservoir of knowledge. I have a question in the accessories forum that I have come to believe that you are may be the only one who knows the answer. :I hope so. stressed: As one old codger to another, please take it easy and follow your doctor's instructions so that you may feel at least able to type without having to put up too much effort. Having to shift to low gear can be rather taxing. I know. Best regards and I'm still looking forward to meeting you someday. I hope we both may realized that event before too long. Charlie BTW: Right now may not be a good time to repair the roof.
