I just picked-up a 50 Chevy 235 De Lux from my old Aunt. I was wondering if adding MMO in with the gas on this old engine would help lube the old valves. I was reading were one person mixes in kerosene with his gasoline when he fills her up.

Not a bad idea, only don't add much as it will foul the plugs. Also suggest you remove the valve cover and direct a stream of WD-40 at the base of each valve spring on the valve stem. Do this with the engine running. Forgot to mention: Welcome Aboard!

Thanks for the info. I realized too late, that I placed my question in the wrong section. I am old and the mistakes are growing proportionally.
