With Hampton Coach out of business is there anywhere else to get interiors? I am restoring a 41 Cabriolet and need a complete interior and top. Any suggestions would be appreciated

There are shops that can fabricate either custom or as original but the cost is very expensive,

We are looking for original. We used to buy from Hampton but they are gone now. Have not heard much good from SMS.

Other than SMS I don't know of anyone producing kits for the early Chevrolets. I have had upholstery on order from SMS for 10 months which is 6 months past their estimated date. They were the only ones that had a fabric that matched my interior. If I had to do it again I would order the material and have it fitted locally.

Thanks. We may have to go that route. One of my customers has been waiting almost a year for his 48 Nash material from SMS. Sadly as the demand drops for these older cars , the supply chain dries up too.

Would be nice if we had a local member that could stop in and see how the orders are coming along,,,,,,,,,,,
just a thought,
they are the only source for material for another project of mine, i would hate to order, only to wait 10 months to see it

I just left a voicemail with KIM for an update as my order was promised for mid to late January. In my discussion with her on Dec.2 I asked how firm that "estimate"was and she replied that it was a firm commitment. It will be interesting to see what the outcome will be.

No call here. Was going to call again but seeing it was a holiday thought it best to wait.

Spoke with Leslie today who spoke with Kim and the response was "she is working on the order and will call you back in a day or two" .

Got a call from Kim who said the cloth has been made (in pa.) and will be shipped to them in Oregon. Once it is received they will process my order. I am estimating that process will take about a month . She did say she would call when it is ready to ship. I am a little more optimistic at this point.

As I posted in another thread I spoke with Kim today and we are back to checking on material availability and she seems to be suffering from amnesia as when I reminded her of our previous conversation she denied most of what she previously said. This is far from her firm commitment that it would be ready in December. I did request an Email reply as I have a folder with all previous Email replies- works great when the phone reply is " I never said that ".

Hi, I am new to the forum, I have a 41 businessman's coupe and I'm looking for the head liner, wind lace, interior material, seat material and cardboard for the panels and trunk walls. I see so many restorations with the striped seats but I cannot find any place to get it from.
