Has anyone dismantled one of these accessory locking caps for plating? This is the one made by Automatic Gas-Lok, of Chicago, for Chevrolet. It's about 3-3/4 inches across and has a hump across the top. The key goes in the end of the hump.

I've been told they can't be taken apart. But suggest the key should be in the lock when plated.
