Pearl Harbor day is special to my wife and I. Her father was a flight engineer on B-17's at Hickam that day. He and his buddies just came out of the mess hall,looked up to see a wave of Jap planes swooping low over Pearl. His sergeant told him to get back to Hickam and see how many planes he could get airborne, about two hours later he reported that "there were no planes at Hickam.
He never talked about it much until near the end of his life. He passed in 2013. He like me would never buy a Jap product.

i recall visiting the bowling green corvette assembly plant in the early 90's. there was a huge banner hanging high up on a wall as we entered the plant. it read "Toyota, brought to you by the same folks that brought us Pearl Harbor" . I doubt the banner still hangs, given the" Political Correctness" that currently permeates the country. mike mccagh
