Hello,I am Lisa and looking into buying a 1967 Chevy K10 Truck. One reason why is to bring memories back.I remember it having a 327 with a 4 speed manual and my grandfather had it on his farm, red and white.I remember driving it around when I was 14 years old and loved that truck.Bad news was it was stolen, trashed very well and insurance totaled it.I was 16 at the time when that happened and my grandfather sold the farm after that which he passed a year later after selling the farm.Been looking and is on hold for now,was recently diagnosed with breast cancer caught early which I start on chemo next month.Know I will find one that I will like

Welcome Chevlady to the VCCA Chat Site. Bringing back good memories is probably one of the top reasons for owning an older car or truck . My family inherited a 1953 Chevy from my grandfather after he passed in 1958 when I was 13 years old. I got to drive it to school every day in my senior year (1963) . Your post caught my eye as my wife used to edit our local VCCA chapter newsletter with the handle "Chevralady" . I want to wish you luck in finding a suitable truck but most importantly I want to wish you a speedy recovery with your health issue. Please continue to monitor the site and when ready perhaps posting a wanted ad for that truck.

Lisa, You are looking for a pretty scarce item. It was a few years later when four wheel drive "caught on". By 1971 and 1972 more buyers were choosing this option. I drove a 1971 and then a 1972 K10 as daily drivers from about 1976 until 2017. It added up to nearly 300,000 miles. I only knew of one 1967 Chevy 1/2 ton 4X4 pickup in my area. A farmer/friend bought it new and used it for many years. Good luck. It would be possible to transplant '67 sheet metal onto a '69/'72 4X4 chassis, perhaps a chassis thru '87 would not be too difficult.
