Hi,
I removed the original 6x9 in dash, behind the grill, speaker from my 1954 Bel air. My radio was rebuilt with 4 x 45 watt capability.
Can anyone recommend a good in dash behind the grill speaker to replace my old speaker?
I was thinking I would go with a new speaker in the dash and use the 2 small speakers that the previous owner added to each front kick plate for a total of 3 speakers.
Any ideas or advice?
Thank you.

Just go to the car audio shop and see how much you want to spend. No speaker you can mount in the dash could use that much power, so be careful turning up the volume. Hopefully you have balance/fade controls to adjust the volume level among the speakers. WL

Do you know if the original radio was held in with a bracket, or is it held in place with just the nuts that go over the on/off and tuner stems that also hold the face plate on.

The radio is mounted with a bracket on the side. If you need this bracket send me a PM.
