On the 53 54 chev. car are the automatic and standard shift steering columns interchangeable aside from the shift linkage?thanks in advance.

The steering column for a 1953-1954 was sold with the steering gear housing attached and fit both.
If the car has power steering you could get the jacket only and the 1953 and 1954 were different.
