I have had some Nickle Silver headlight switch levers made, Much stronger than original, and being nickel not chrome plated look much better on the car, Nearly everyone I know has become old and brittle, So snap then up $70 Aust plus postage anywhere in the world, and enjoy the power of 21 cp Headlights at the flick of a switch, Ray

Just so potential buyers know. Each one of the late 20s early 30s year models was a stand alone light switch and knob. 27 is different from 28. 28 is different from 29. 29 is different from 30. I am fairly well versed in 29 models having owned one for almost 20 years. Now 2 29s, 1 an early landau, and 1 mid year. I found out after starting on a 28 project there are at least 2 different sourced light switches in 28. One uses the straight lug pattern like you had made and the other uses a 45 degree pattern lug. You have to dis-assemble your switch before you know which one you have. You could potentially sell one of those to someone who has the 45 degree pattern. That would have been a dissatisfied customer with a bad review. Each application requires a little research. Sure a nice looking reproduction though. Dick Oldenberg rebuilt one instrument cluster/dash for me and the newly bequeathed 28 roadster is broken as well. I will have to dis-assemble it to see which handle it takes. Art

That's interesting Art, Had no idea, I've had a dozen or so apart here in Aust and all were the same and quite a few guys I know had them break wanted this type. Would it possibly be that the Aussie sold cars had the same switch? as they used mostly Holden or Taylor bodies made in Aust, while in the USA there were different bodies used ? , Ray

There were two suppliers of light switches in 1928 Delco and Clum. The Clum switches have the name stamped into the fiberboard. I believe the Delco also has the name stamped but all 4 I have are Clum so can't verify my memory.

Afternoon all, OK so a little more research, and I have a few pics to show of the two headlight switches, Bloody GM and their supply chain who'd have bothered with two different switches!@$$#@###. https://www.instagram.com/p/CHUWgyRjLMO/As you see in pics the Clum is a simpler type of switch the Delco has the more robust bakelite backing. When I have sold a bunch of the Clum Levers I will produce the Delco version. Happy to do a bulk discount just ask, as the shipping to US is the same for 1 as it is for 10. Ray

You should contact Gary Wallace, chev4cyl@charter.net, www.20schevyparts.comI have had to address the two lever problem for years. Trouble is, many of the guys don't know how to work on the 1928 switches.

Stanley's Parts borrowed a 1928 Delco headlight switch from me a couple of years ago to duplicate the handle. Lonny was going to make some of those switch levers. Haven't asked him if they are available but plan to.
