Hi, I have a 1954 Chevy Bel air 2 door sedan. I pulled out what was left of what I think was the original carpet. It appeared to be a medium green color and I would like to replace it.
My cowl tag states:
Style No. 54-1011WD Body No. M17796 Trim No. 311 Paint No. 554
Can anyone tell me what this means? Thanks for any help.

Style is a 2 door sedan with Bel Air trim.
The paint was 2 tone. The upper body was Shoreline Beige. The lower body was Bermuda Green. The wheels were Bermuda Green with no stripes.
The interior is listed as a Dark Green Pattern cloth with Light Green Imitation Leather.
My guess is that the Body number is the location it was manufactured and a sequence or serial number. I expect Gene will jump in and help with that.

By upper body shoreline beige do you mean the roof? That is white now and the rest of the car is Bermuda Green, with the exception of the area where the Bel air emblems are on each side of the car, those areas are white just like the roof. Bermuda Green and Shoreline Beige seems like a very odd color combination.

Shoeline Biege was a light tan color and in 1954 a post 2 door would have had that color coming down to the belt moulding below the windows.
