I am getting ready to reassemble my truck and I am looking for the size and location of the nuts, bolts that fasten it all together.... to keep it as original as possible.
I know that over the years they have been replaced. I just figured that with all the people here, we could figure out where they all were located.
On my truck, the interior was fastened with thrust screws whereas many pictures I have seen used clutched head screws.
How about the rocker panel under the door? I found one clutch screw on the end and the others were stovebolt. Along the edge were stovebolts with square nits.
Assembling the front I know will give me fits.... what was used there?
Where were clutch head screws used on the 1940 Pickup? Sizes?
Were hex nuts/bolts ever used or were they hex bolts with square nuts?
I have found some clutch head screws but there seems to be no logical order of placement.
Help would be appreciated.
Thanks,
Mike
