Good Morning,
We just purchased our first old Chevy, a 1934 1.5 Ton (We have two Model Ts). It is missing the drivers door and will need three rims. Outside of these it should only need a wood kit. I’ve started to look online and there seems to be far fewer parts for 34-35 than 36 and up. Where do you buy/find parts for these trucks? What about upholstery? I cannot find any websites that offer upholstery (including headliners) for these, do you have to have a local shop make them? Thanks in advance for all of your help.

Hey Craig,
Welcome aboard. It's great to have a new truck guy here on the forum. I have a door for your truck and some wheels, also. I'm in Missouri, so you might see if something shows up closer to you. I have parted a couple of '34/'35 trucks and I have a '36 1-1/2 ton. You can find a thread about my truck in the truck area of this forum. It has "1936 Semi truck" in the title. I have a pile of parts. Call me if you like.

Welcome on board. I am rebuilding a '32 1.5 tonner and have had to remake every piece of wood, including all the cab and doors. If you are in it for the experience, it is very enjoyable and a good way to pass the time in the Covid lockdown we are experiencing in Victoria, Australia. I have learned a great deal about woodworking.

Pete32,
Thanks, it’s great to hear from folks who share the same passions all around the globe. I will have to redwood the cab but it looks like I will be able to use the old wood for patterns.
