Hello I have a 1947 Stylemaster with a 1961 235 powerglider transmission motor in it but it is still the stock 3 speed
no ,up grade.CAN any one tell me what is the correct/factory carburtor for this engine?
I need a real good one for it.(A DRIVER not a show car)!Who does any and all recommend for a source of the Carb I need!!

It would be a carburetor from 1956 235 car engine. Yor air cleaner will ot fit a 1957 and up carburetor. It will have an automatic choke.
If a hand choke is desired a carb. from a 1956-1961 truck will work.

Chev Nut: Thank you for the information. Looking up the carburetor for those years it list it is a" Rochester B".

Source, I was just looking on Rock Auto they have rebuilt Rochester single barrels for about $130 with your rebuildable core. If you don't have a core it's about $230. I was looking at 1958's which have the auto choke because the motor I am going to have built is a 58. I think that I will look for a 56-61 truck carb though. Thanks Gene
Well, it seams that hand choke carbs you have to send yours to them and they rebuild them and send them back to you and that will cost you $160. My intention is not to hi-jack this thread so I will leave it at that.
