I am putting a 350 small block into a 1936 Chevy, found great motor mount and transmission mount conversion kits from Heidts motor and transmission are complete.

I have a header vs. steering column issue because the headers are in the way, I did see some kind of joint that redirects steering column, can someone help me with this.

What is the item called, where to locate and do I need a custom steering column?

Thanks again...

Hello Slantback,

Flaming River makes a variable angle gear, called the VDOG. It might be what you are looking for.

Depending on your amount of interference....I had a '40 Chevy that I put a SBC into, and had a clearance issue with the #7 header pipe on the steering
column. I was able to cut off the outer covering, leaving just the inside shaft from the firewall down to the steering box. It gave me just enough room
to clear the header. Bob
