I'm trying to correctly mount the rear quarter panel stainless pieces on the rear of the 41 cabriolet. I have two questions:

1. Will the attaching clips that hold the door pieces in place work for the quarter panel ones?

2. I have the "under" mounting strips that are supposed to be mounted and then the pieces pop into/over. How are these mounting strips held in place? There are seven 5/16 mounting holes in the quarter panel. How were they mounted to these holes?

I'm trying to get the car more presentable because a potential buyer is coming to look at it. (I know. As John Wayne always says "at'll be da day."

Thanks in advance,

Charlie computer

BTW: I've made a plumb mess out of trying to describe the problem I"m facing. I only hope there are some of you who know what I'm getting talking about. Mercy and heavens to Betsy!

The long retaining strips were fastened with sheet metal screws.

Gene,

That makes sense. I was about to pull the molding off the 41 coupe so I owe you big time.

I'll try to find some screws that will be suitable.

Best,

Charlie computer
