Now that I've conquered the cam bearing, my next challenge is the two little mount thingies that mount the back of the engine to the frame.
I have the hardware, but the rubber is gone.
Does anyone know a source for getting new rubber put in?
There isn't a lot of room for rubber, so I expect they are a source of trouble.
Are there other models mounts that would work on the DB?
My truck came with solid mounts, which I would like to upgrade.

Wilson, contact Steele Rubber. https://www.steelerubber.com/ They bonded new rubber to my motor mounts years ago.

It is possible to open up the mount and slide in strips of rubber. A little heat helps to pry them open. Need a large hammer or vise or press to close them back up. I use rubber from big truck mud flap. Tough and oil and gas resistant. Far more economic than Steele.
