I think I already know the answer to this - but how does the indicator bulb inside the 6004 turn signal switch ground? Mine has stopped working. I thought it was a bad bulb. New bulbs don't work, either. If I ground the socket to the parking brake handle it work. So how does the bulb ground? This was working but has recently stopped. Switch has not been disturbed, but I am assuming the socket grounds to the housing, which grounds to the steering column?

Thanks. And how is the column grounded - by assembly, or is there a dedicated ground wire? Trying to figure out why ground has been lost 70 years on. The car did spend some time with a fellow who "fixed" my back-up light wiring around the column. Maybe something got disturbed?
