I believe I need to have my wheel straightened, it is a 20" wood spooked tire. Is there anyone in So. Calif. that can do this? If not where can I send it to have this done?

Here's an interesting previous thread that discussed wobbly wheels: https://vccachat.org/ubbthreads.php/topics/274345/1928-national-wobbly-wheels.html

Is the rim bent, the felloe, or are the spokes loose and that makes the felloe/wheel wobble?

If the spokes are super dry and that has caused the felloe to be loose and move around, I suggest moving the felloe to be straight with respect to the hub and then apply Boiled Linseed Oil and mineral spirits (50/50) to the spokes. That will swell them up and tighten them to the felloe. This is best done with the wheel off and laying flat over a container for the oil to drip into.

If you need to replace the spokes, there are a couple of good technical articles on how to make new spokes on the Technical Article page that is in the Members Only area of the main VCCA web page. Having access to the Technical articles is one of the many reasons for joining the club.

Hope this helps. Dean
