Hi, I am helping out to collect production figures for a 1945 car article, but am having trouble figuring out how many Chevrolet passenger cars were built in that calendar year from the October 3 reboot up to the turn of 45/46.
Is it true that they only built Fleetline and Stylemaster in 45, while Fleetmaster had to wait until the following year? Hope for a fast reply here. Thanks!

I can tell you Canadian production. 1252 Chevrolet Passenger cars were built in Canada in 1945. No model breakdown.

US production for the 1945 calender way 12,776. All were of the lowest priced Stylmaster series and were 4 doors. I am sure that was true for Canada also.

Thanks for the nice help, folks. Hope you all had a lovely Independence Day yesterday. We drove Solan, our 1916, 490 in sunny weather to the US Embassy in Oslo, visiting the guards at the gate and waiving the US flag to an American lady visiting.

I can not give you production numbers but The first 1946 Cadilacs were series 62 4 door models First Buicks were Super 4 doors (same body as Cadillac.) Fitst Oldsobiles were the 76 and 78 2 door models First Pontiacs were the Streamliner fast back 2 door models ( same body as Olldsmobile) In Spring the other body styles were slowly put into production.
