OP Woodstock1987 Grease Monkey Joined: Apr 2020 Posts: 24 Stockton ca	Just had my engine and transmission rebuilt 235 straight 6 and the 2 speed powerglide and 6volt starter but when I go to try and start it the starter stays in gauged and some time gets stuck i think makes a winding noise as it wants to start what do I do to fix

Chipper ChatMaster - 15,000 Joined: Nov 2001 Posts: 19,758 Likes: 64 The Great State of TEXAS	You will need to add a shim or spacer to move the starter slightly so the teeth on the starter and converter (or flex plate) have a teensy bit of room and don't get stuck. Too much and it will destroy the gear teeth on the converter. How Sweet the roar of a Chevy four!
