Unwrapped new Coker 6.50x 16 wide whites for the 37 coupe today. Not sure what to use to get the blue stuff off the whites, just remember it was difficult last time after I had the tires mounted. Want to do it this time prior to mounting on rims.

Usually soap and water gets the blue stuff off.

It helps if the water is warm or hot.

Thanks guys, warm soapy water got it off pretty quick. I think the ones I had a problem with had a plastic film and once the rim was on couldn’t easily get it off.

Randy,

Why did you choose an oversize tire and will it fit in the trunk space for the spare?

Just wandering.

Best,

Charlie computer

BTW: Testimonials from over here in NC indicate that there is a growing fondness for some that store bought soap and hot water for Saturday night bath too. Some folks are discontuning making soap from hog fat and ashes . Go figure. Agrin

Just like them, think 6:00 look too skinny for the fat fenders. No problem for spare in trunk, but had to use a 5:50 in the 38 cabriolet.

When I get to the wheels on the 38 I will be looking at what is a common size available and have the rims adjusted to suit, the existing rims are rusted to deep for me to consider safe but the centres are still safe.
