Are there any VCCA members out there local to the Atlanta area that can recommend a decent, reliable automotive machine shop for old car work? I have a '54 235 that I would like to rebuild, but I haven't had occasion to have any machine work done since I moved to this area back in '98. There's no region local to this area, which makes it difficult to meet up with other Chevy folks who might have some suggestions. As for contacting other old car enthusiasts outside the VCCA, the majority of car people in this part of the country seem to be more into hot rods and customs rather than original iron; naturally, their suggestions usually involve putting in a SBC in place of the 235 -- not quite what I had in mind!

I suggest looking in your VCCA roster for Lee Allen in Stone Mtn. He has lived in the area for many years and restored a few old Chevys. Also knows a bunch more old car folks.
