I have a 1937 Chevrolet 2 door Master Deluxe I need to have a new head liner put in the car. When I took the car to a shop to give me a price on a new head liner I was told I needed roof bows?? I ask what are roof bows . i was told the they are pieces that go across the inside of the roof to hold the head liner in place ? So if that correct where came I buy roof bows who makes them ?? or am I getting a snow job?/
VCCA members have access to a list of over 50 Technical Advisors who can help you with your car. It's worth the price of membership! While you can get a lot of information for free in this forum, sometimes the info that you REALLY need is only available from the right person. This is what "The World's Best Chevrolet Club" is all about!
You're not getting a snow job. All Headliners need roof bows or at least the ones we work on. Don't know who makes them. I'm surprised they are not in the car.
The bows are metal. I attached a picture of one rear corner of my 1938 coupe. You can see the round metal bows. They are approximately 1/8" diameter. I've only ever seen some for sale on Ebay, not through parts vendors but they might exist. You might find at some wreckers that part out old cars or post a wanted ad on this site.

What Tim said. They're basically heavy wire. The headliner has "pockets" sewn into the headliner that the bows are slid into to hold the headliner in place. A quick search turned up this site: https://www.automotiveinteriors.com/bow-rod-kits-s/17358.htm Also check ebay for someone parting out a '37.
