My 60 Impala is not stock as the previous owner modified her for a rod look. My short term goals are to maker her vintage inspired with the longterm goal of making her original except the ride height. The first thing to do was get rid of the 80s cragars mainly because the tires were bad and the chrome was peeling. My next goal will be to make her mechanically sound then start detailing the engine compartment which is frankenstein-ish by removing all chrome from under the hood and replacing with modern vintage inspired parts.
