GOT ALL PAINTWORK DONE AFTER WELDING IN NEW FOOT SCRAPER. HAVE NEW MOULDINGS AGAINST FENDER AND ROCKER LINING UP CLIPS WITH THREADED ATTACHMENTS AND COMPRESSED THE ROUND SPRING CONNECTORS TO THE NEW TRIM. I'M REALLY PUSHING HARD ON TRIM AND ROUND SPRING CLIPS TO GET THEM TO ENTER AND SEAT IN THE RECTANGULAR ALIGNMENT OPENINGS IN THE ROCKER TO THE POINT WHERE I'M SCARED I'LL MASH/DENT/BEND SOMETING. SEEMS THAT INSTALLING THEM IN PLACE ON THE MOULDING WOULD EXPAND THE SPRING CLIP-MAKING IT HARDER TO ENTER THE OPENING BUT IT WOULD BE A PAIN AND ALMOST IMPOSIBLE TO PUSH THE CLIPS INTO THE RECTANGULAR OPENINGS AND THEN TRY TO "HANG" THE TRIM ON THEM. MAYPE I NEED TO TRY A SOFT RUBBER MALLET WRAPPED IN A SHOP RAG. ANY ADVICE APPREIATED. I CAN ENVISION ON THE ASSEMBLY LINE THE TRIM HAD THE CLIPS IN PLACE AND WORKER PUSHED THEM ON UNTIL THEY SEATED. I THOUGHT THE HARD STUFF WAS OVER.

You must be real angry (used all caps). Just a hint so you can correct it next posting.

No- Caps lock was obviously on. Not much for computer lingo. "Angry" means all capital letter? Regarding the spring problem- I was able to compress the springs from Chevy of the 40's-withan old fashioned pair of hose clamp pliers- and it appears they may work. Still like to know if anyone had this problem form kit sold by suppliers. Impossible to get spring to compress in rectangular opening provided for the mldg./trim to mount.

NickA, Why didn't you use the retangular clips for the rocker moldings? Seems they just snap in and then you pop the rocker moldings over them like a 41. Best, Charlie
