I am installing a reground camshaft with a new thrust plate and new gear. Should there be a clearance left between the thrust plate and gear when the new gear is pressed on? It seems like if just pressed till tight the new gear will pinch the thrust plate. I would expect a couple of thousands at least to allow oil to lubricate. Anyone have any input? Thanks.
