Howdy,
I just joined up with VCCA and I am keen on picking your brains!
I have a 1947 Chevy Fleetline Sedan which my dad gave me in 1988. He bought it to give to me as I was born in 1947. I drove it out to Colorado with my two boys and my mom and paid attention to not getting over 45 MPH. It was a long, hot summer trip, but we had a blast.
Just within the past couple of years I've had the car painted and am now "dinking around" with getting it in better shape. I take it for a little spin about once a week to make sure it doesn’t get stiff knees like I do.
Not only do I have my father's old Chevy, I also have his old HAM radio call sign, K6PUO. The apple doesn't fall too far from the tree.
I'm looking forward to hanging out with the cool kids.

Welcome to the VCCA. N5VGG here as well. Haven't been "on the air" in a long time unfortunately. Will cell phones and internet radio has lost some appeal. Glad it has not happened with our old Chevys.
